Title:  Depot: LaBelle MO
Description:  La Belle MO was on the "OK Route", the Quincy, Omaha & Kansas City RR which was bought out by the CB&Q in the 1930s. In 1939 the portion west of Milan was abandoned and everything east, to Quincy, continued as a Burlington Route branch, in parts, through 1981, when the last portion, from Kirksville, was abandoned.

Description:  Milan MO at one time was the junction of the QO&KC's cross-state line (as well as a yard and roundhouse) and the Burlington's Laclede to Sedan IA branch. The "OK Line's" section came up in 1950, the Burlington's survived to 1981 under the BN. Today there's a nicely restored depot and former NP caboose on display.

Title:  Small town Missouri; no tracks
Description:  Skidmore MO is a small Nodaway County farm town of about 400 souls in northwest Missouri. This quiet little place made national news twice in the last 20 years as the site of a pair of stunning murders. Rail wise it laid on one of the Burlington Route's web of branches throughout northern Missouri and southern Iowa. The "Q" line north of town towards the Hawkeye State was abandoned in 1955, the portion south came up through Maitland in 1977 under the BN. Now all that remains is the depot and signs of the old right-of-way.

Title:  Hanlibal Depot
Description:  This is the former CB&Q passenger depot in Hannibal MO. Located on Main Street, it opened in 1954, replacing a much larger structure (Hannibal Union Station) that was at the same location and knocked down in 1953. The last scheduled passenger t|ain to use this building was the remnant of the St. Louis to Minneapolis Zephyx Rocket, which was pulled in April 1967. The tracks don't even run by it anymore, having been isolated by the levee and walls#behind it and other track rebuilding projects. It's still in use today however, as a business.
