Here is a photo by Forrest W. Trittenbach of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #606, an A-5S (0-4-0) switcher built in Juniata during November of 1917 and retired in December of 1948 after 31 years of faithful service. Note that the bell, headlight, and main driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping. The exact date and the location are not recorded. Williams Collection. |
