Title:  PRR 4143, H-9S, c. 1953
Description:  Here is an original photo by Douglas C. Jones that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4143, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during October of 1913 and retired in March of 1953 after 40 years of faithful service. It's shifting some cars in and out of the PRR's 12th Street Car Shops, partially visible in the foreground. The large structure across the mainline tracks is the Passenger Station's Trainshed. Photo taken from the 12th Street Footbridge.
